Pawn your Rolex
Pawn your Rolex to access short term loans at competitive rates.
From the Submariner to the Yachtmaster and the quirky Milgauss, taking a loan against your Rolex could not be more straightforward. When valuing your Rolex, our specialists will analyse how much your Rolex will make at auction, and then provide you with a loan amount. There are several factors our specialists will take into consideration when valuing your Rolex:
- The most important factor is the model as some will do better at auction than others. For example, the demand for the Daytona is incredibly strong and these will have a high auction estimate. We may ask you for a model number if you have the paperwork for your Rolex to hand. If you do not have the paperwork, we would not expect you to know the model number as unlike other watches, Rolex conceal the model number on their watches. Rather than on the back of the watch, the model number can be found between the two lugs at the number 12, and can only be seen if the strap is removed. This is why is it essential for our specialists to have a firm knowledge on watch trends at auction in order to provide you with the most accurate value and loan amount against your Rolex.
- The material is another important factor in establishing a loan value for your Rolex. Recent auction trends show that white gold tends to sell a little better than yellow or rose gold. However, this is not to say that your stainless steel Submariner is not valuable. The face and bezel colour can also have a major impact on the auction value. A good example of this is the Rolex Submariner “Hulk” edition. These green bezel submariners are not easy to come by and will therefore be valued a little more at auction. The same applies to the GMT Master II with the “pepsi” bezel. This bi-colour bezel is also difficult to come by and will achieve slightly more at auction than one with a plain black bezel.
- The condition of your Rolex is very important. We fully understand that over time, the strap or bracelet may become slightly loose, or perhaps the watch face will have become slightly scratched. We will take all this into consideration when we are valuing your watch. This includes whether or not you have had diamonds later added to your Rolex. Even though you will have paid a substantial amount to add these various embellishments, it may actually detract from the value of the watch. This is because, should your watch go to auction, whoever buys this will want the Rolex to be as close to its original condition as possible. Adding diamonds is a costly procedure to reverse.
- Finally, there is nothing more pleasing than a gold Rolex crown embossed on a green case. Does your Rolex come with the original box and paperwork? It will may not make a significant difference to the loan value. However it is always advisable to keep and store the watch with its original fitted case.
Whatever the condition, Rolex is a luxury brand guaranteed to be able to release the funds you need against it, when you need them. Rolex have dominated watch auctions for years and there will always be a strong demand for them.
