Fully Private and Confidential. No Credit Checks.
At Unbolted, we do not perform a credit check. As we are lending against your assets, your credit score whether high or low is irrelevant to the decision to lend to you.
We only verify your identify electronically (failing which we may ask for copies of physical documents) to comply with anti-money laundering regulations and to minimise fraud risk. Of course, we also require your banking details so that we may transfer the amount of the loan to your account.
It is worth remembering that Merrian-Webster defines a credit rating as "...an estimate of the amount of credit that can safely be extended to a person or company as determined usually by a mercantile agency or a credit man on the basis of financial resources, ability to repay advances, and record in paying debts..”
There are many people with good character who may not have a good credit score. Every time you apply for a credit card, the lender will examine your credit history and consider whether or not you are a borrower who is likely to default on their debts by failing to keep up the repayments.
Perhaps you are a young professional who has never had credit before or are not on the electoral role, maybe you are self-employed or between “gigs”. Whatever your personal circumstances, they do not affect our decision to provide a loan against your asset.
If you have been unfortunate and do not have a good credit score, you may find yourself in challenging circumstances. Unbolted can help you to unlock the value in your assets so that you may continue to make the financial decisions that you feel you need to.
Many credit card companies offer “bad credit” credit cards. However, you may find that the APR offered is significantly higher than the APR for a loan against your assets with Unbolted.
The Unbolted Representative example is as follows:
Total credit: £4000. Set-up fees: £120. Loan term of 6 months. Annual Interest rate: 37.2% (fixed). Interest for 6 months: £766.32. Amount repayable in one installment: £4,886.32. Representative APR: 49.2%.
Remember, this states that an equal number of loans to our customers have a higher APR and an equal number have a lower APR. An asset that has a secondary market value greater than £6000 will qualify for a lower APR.
