South East London has the lowest credit scores in the United Kingdom
According to ClearScore, an online credit checking tool the residents in South East and East London have the worst credit score with those living in the Orkney Islands and Shetland Islands having the highest.
A credit score is the result of many factors and your post code does not affect your personal credit rating. However, it certainly is consistent with those who have a saving mentality. If you live on a wind swept island, you probably know to prepare for a rainy day.
